Welcome
Hi! My name is LaChaya (pronounced Luh-kY-uh) and I’m glad you’re here.
I have been a registered nurse for 12 years & a nurse practitioner for over 4 years. Mental wellness and connecting with people have always been passions of mine.
As a practitioner rooted in faith, it is my belief that we are closer to wellness when all of our systems (biological, psychological, social and spiritual) are aligned. Your best life starts with mental clarity and a mind free from disease or injury. Mental wellness is a journey, not a destination.
Are we the right fit for each other?
Although your life is fairly “together” by outward appearances, it is sometimes a struggle to pull everything together. Sometimes anxiety can get the best of you. At times, your moodiness or irritability may even be noticeable to those closest to you such as friends, children, or partners. Maybe you were raised to think accessing mental healthcare and taking medication is “weak” or incongruent to your culture or faith. Maybe there is hesitancy taking prescription medication and you are interested in non pharmacological ways of addressing your concerns first. Maybe you pour into so many others that you barely have time to nurture yourself. You’d like to create balance and start prioritizing yourself but might not know how. If you are a spiritual person, maybe you have been feeling distant from God and are unsure of how to get the closeness that you desire. If any of this sounds like you, we may be a good fit for a therapeutic relationship. I look forward to discussing your mental wellness goals in the near future.
